You don't have to introduce yourself newly and build a 
relationship from scratch with hundreds of strangers everytime 
you have something NEW to show them (like you must always do with 
ezine and solo ads for example).

Now lets speak frankly..

Many of those you see who boast of making X amount of dollars in 
X number of days hide the real truth behind their success, they 
make it look and sound so easy. But in reality it's not easy, no, 
not unless you have access to a good list of responsive 
prospects. 

Solve that problem and YES, I agree that it could be relatively 
easy to make money almost instantly.

The truth is, many of the people whose advice you listen to 
(because they've proven they can make a lot of money in a very 
short time), have earned that status ONLY because they have hot 
products they simply email to their established mailing list of 
loyal readers and interested prospects, customers etc.

Either they mail out to their own lists they built and nutured 
themselves over months and even years, or they use the list of a 
good friend or associate who has such a responsive mailing list 
of interested would-be customers. That's really the main tactic.

There's nothing more.

It's not their skill in advertising that makes them so much money 
in so little time, it's not having high search engine listings or 
hot pay-per-click listings, it's not visiting web forums and 
leaving your signature file.

All these HELP to propel your business gradually over time - but, 
almost instant or even instant wealth can come to you when you 
have access to a mailing list of responsive readers.

Just imagine it for a moment...

You have a list you've been sharing great free content with over 
time. Chances are when you eventually have something really HOT 
for them that they have to pay for, very many of them will 
happily REWARD you in cash and kind for the equal wealth of 
knowledge you have been sharing with them.

This is one good reason you should have a mailing list as a 
direct marketer. Not just because people say you should have one, 
or because everyone else has one. Or so that you have people to 
blab off to when the mood hits you. No. Really. That's secondary.

Primarily, and especially in our line of work (being a direct 
Internet marketer), you need to think of your future profits as 
well -- theres nothing wrong with that.

You need to think of the BIG picture and what you want to 
achieve. Then build a list of people whom you can groom and help 
to blossom in their own businesses or personal life. When you 
have a good number of such loyal friends and readers on your 
list, then you have a real business.

Just trust me when I tell you that a mailing list of loyal 
readers and proven prospects is as good as money in the bank. 
Now, you just need to START the list. Nuture it with good content 
and a personal relationship.

When you have something you know your prospects WANT, don't be 
afraid to email them and let them know.

I'm not opposed to selling to your list, it's a healthy habit and 
everyone wins since our business is for profit.

In fact, many of your subscribers who would have by now taken a 
special liking to you, will respect you for offering them 
something that is actually WORTH some money. 

This way they know you're serious and not just hiding behind 
FREE, FREE, FREE. Free does not put food on the table. So, the 
sooner you get used to selling softly, the better for your 
business.
